Governors have announced that Aelfgar Rugeley College will remain open for the 2011/12 Academic Year.

At The Aelfgar Rugeley College we value the individual achievement of all students and we give them every opportunity to reach their full potential.

At The Aelfgar Rugeley College we are able to offer a tremendously wide range of programmes that students can tailor to their own needs and preferences.

All courses are taught by highly qualified, expert staff.

For study over two years, we offer over 22 AS and A2 Level subjects and a recently expanded range of BTEC National Diploma and BTEC National Certificate courses.

Our courses prepare students for employment and higher education and we encourage our students to achieve their full potential by providing the support of a Tutor and access to careers guidance. There are also plenty of opportunities to take part in extra-curricular activities.

Study takes place in a modernised learning environment. A building and refurbishment programme has enhanced the College campus and provided state-of-the-art learning facilities. The College has a large ICT learning centre with email facilities, the College Library and Careers Centre, digital technology media facilities and Interactive whiteboards.

The use of information technology is an integral part of the learning process in a modern Sixth Form and we have a high ratio of computers to students. There is also plenty of opportunity for students to carry out research for their studies using the Internet and College Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
